DUBAI: Saudi Arabia strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza during a hearing at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing it of violating international law and committing serious human rights abuses.
Mohamed Saud Alnasser, the Kingdom’s representative, told the court that Israel “continues to ignore the court’s orders” and asserted that “there is no justification for Israel’s violations in Gaza.”
Alnasser criticized the scale of destruction in the enclave, stating that “Israel has turned Gaza into a pile of rubble,” and emphasized the immense suffering faced by civilians.
His comments came during the second day of ICJ hearings examining whether Israel has fulfilled its humanitarian obligations under international law.
The hearings take place amid an ongoing Israeli blockade of aid to Gaza, which has persisted for more than 50 days.
The proceedings are part of broader international efforts to determine the legality of Israel’s actions in its war on Gaza.
